1990–1991 / Chair, Sandy DeRousse

During the fall of 1990 Associate Vice Chancellor Ronald Tobin asked Sandy DeRousse to create and chair the Office of Academic Programs' Diversity Committee. With representation from each department under Academic Programs, the first committee meeting was held February 7, 1991. The committee was commissioned to act as a resource to AVC Tobin and to the department heads on diversity issues and to provide information and create awareness for the staff of the departments.

In August, 1991, the Committee submitted a report, "The Quality of Diversity," to AVC, Dr. Ronald Tobin. The report was forwarded to all Office of Academic Programs (OAP) staff, campus administrators and then Chancellor Barbara Uehling. The report dealt with issues of Accountability, Environment, Recruitment and Selection, and Training and Awareness.

evaluation beyond this point.
