| Brice Taylor served a total of seven years on the Diversity Committee, from 1994-2001, with five years as Chair, from 1996-2001. For six years he was the Disability Services Representative, UCSB Extension. In the community, Brice is the Chair of the Local Spiritual Assembly, Bahá'is of Goleta, which promotes elimination of all forms of prejudice globally. He is a member of the Board of Directors, Emmaus (Santa Barbara) and oversees administration of youth crisis intervention programs, such as "Break the Cycle," in cooperation with the Santa Barbara County public high schools. As a singer/song-writer, a workshop writer and facilitator, he was a natural for facilitating the UCSB Education Program for Cultural Awareness (EPCA) 1997, 1998. He was also the facilitator for community workshops on racism and intolerance: "The Color of Fear" (1996-1998) and "Not in Our Town" (1997-1998). |
